National Advocates Council (राष्ट्रीय अधिवक्ता परिषद) is a right-wing Indian organisation of lawyers associated with Indian Paramedical Association (IPMA BHARAT).
In addition, NAC BHARAT and IPMA BHARAT perform certain representative functions by protecting the rights, privileges and interests of advocates & Health Care Workers and through the creation of funds for providing financial assistance to organise welfare schemes for them.
National Advocates Council (राष्ट्रीय अधिवक्ता परिषद) was formally constituted in Uttar Pradesh and was registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860.
The Indian legal profession today consists of approximately 15 lakh registered advocates, around 1800 law schools, and approximately 8-9 lakh law students across the country. Every year, approximately 80,000 – 90,000 law graduates join the legal profession in India. The practice of law has however changed drastically in the past few decades – and the major reason for the same has been the liberalization and growth of the Indian economy.
